Oh my goodness, I was so excited, we got to be extras in a weather commercial for Fox12 in Portland! They gave us bags and water bottles and my mom got a coffee cup! I always wanted to be in a show where they say "action!" and they said it and we acted! We got to kick the soccer ball around the yard and my mom had her van and was unloading groceries. You can see the final video HERE. We got to get out of school early and Mom even took us to Burgerville afterwards! They have gluten free buns now! It was so much fun! The second one we did was dress up like it was the end of summer and they took pictures of us and put it all together like we were getting on a bus. You can see the Fox 12 Weather Promo: Commuter Guide here.

My mom and I got a booth at the ADX Makers bazaar called Gifted 2, Still Giftin' on December 15 and 16. I had SO much fun and sold so many of my things! I made a bunch of new things for it like head bands and bracelets and paintings. My mom upcycled this cool apron for me for my money so I could give change easily, I loved it! There were so many other amazing people that made really cool things. I got my mom a Christmas gift there but I can't tell what it is yet. There were also lots of yummy treats we ate and even gluten free things so that was really exciting. Here is my mom and I being goofy the last day as it was getting slow. It was really cold.
Also, I learned to crochet a bit more from the lady next to me, she was really fun to hang out with, and I got a shirt for my brother for Christmas from her too! This Saturday December 1, 2012 I am going to be at Arbor Lodge coffee shop for their neighborhood craft bazaar. You can meet me because I am having a little table and I am going to sell some of my art and new art too! And it is a craft fair and don't go there at the day time looking for the craft fair because it's at night 6:00 to 10:00! Ok! And hope to see you there!
My mom and one of her friends decided to go to this event called All Stars of the New Economy by Supportland and it was at ADX, where my mom just got a working membership so we got to check it out! We picked up mom's friend and her daughter, and we all went to ADX. When we first got there, we got a name tag that said "ask me about" and I filled in "my art and my website" and my name. I remembered to bring my business cards in a little bag that I made! I got to sign this giant fabric sign as a commitment for shopping locally this holiday season! So then we went over to the next booth and wrote on a chalk board which local shop we like to go to and then we take a picture of it, and I wrote Scrap! Because I love shopping there! Then there was a DJ and he did the robot and all sorts of other stuff, it was pretty cool. There was a kids craft table and we made card board stars. There is a special kind of glue, and you put glitter on it, and you heat it up and it turns into metallic. My little sister says it's like magic! I made a lot of stars and I put them around my head and I looked like the queen of stars!
I talked to lots of people! I handed out lots of business cards, it was fun to see what other people know about. There were some tattoo drawings on the wall, I liked those. There was a lot of pizza and peanut butter jelly sandwiches. I danced to the dj's music, there was all this different music, it was really cool and amazing, I loved it! Thank you Supportland and ADX, it was great being there with you guys! My mom was invited to be a part of a fashion show at the ReUse Expo and the people involved in the fashion show got some booth space there too, and I got to sell my things! I walked around and met other people who were selling things, I saw a lot of dresses, and one had a key and a door knob as part of the dress! It was so cool. And for a wig there was old curly telephone cords. There were clocks, and all sorts of things made out of recycled things!
A lot of people came to my booth and I sold a lot of my art! I really felt like a part of a community of people that love art. Then I got to model in the fashion show! Another lady asked me to model one of her vests, so I got to model twice! I felt really happy to be a part of all the people that loved art and love recycled things! I even won a bag and a Chinook Book mobile app! This Halloween is wicked crazy! Three Halloween parties! I was a vampire, I got my cape from goodwill, and I wore black clothes from my closet. My mom spray dyed my hair black and red stripes. On Friday there was a Harvest Festival at school! We played games, went in the bouncy house, and we got hair feathers for three tickets. On Saturday, I went to a Halloween party at our neighbor friends house, was fun. We played a game where some little kids mummy wrapped me in toilet paper! I got to break free which was fun. There were mummy fingers to eat, pus punch, boogers (which was jello and grapes to be exact). After mummy wrapping me, we had a candy search. We got a lot of candy! After that, we got to decorate cupcakes! I put a LOT of candy all over mine, I couldn't even see the frosting anymore. It was so sugary, but I didn't eat it because I am allergic. Then we had an after party and we got to watch half of a movie, then we had to go home to bed. Monday was trick or treating. We had dinner, and mom made Frankenpeppers with weird guts falling out of his head. We waited for some friends, and went trick or treating with our neighbor friends. There were 6 girls, and my brother, so there was one boy, and three moms. My mom was a Pink Ninja Mom Fairy, it was really weird to have a Ninja Fairy in my family, and not scary. We went up and down our neighborhood and the other part of the neighborhood and more tasty candy. I got pretty cold, the weather was pretty chilly but we still had super fun. I got tons of candy! And another day we traded with my mom for "healthy" candy she got at New Seasons.
Here are all of us: My sister is a LadyBug Spy. She thought of that herself! My brother is a skeleton ghost. This weekend I had a sleepover with my friend Amber. On Saturday Amber showed me how to loom. I was working on it like a witch flying through the sky! We also went to the Humane Society and I saw these cute puppies in the first row, the cutest were Popsicle and Sassy! Their sign said "Take me home! Please!" and a little house next to it. They were sooooo cute I felt like I needed them right away! They were both licking me when I was right next to the cage and cuddled up with me. Popsicle and Sassy were brown with light stripes, and so cute! They were two months old. We also saw a weird Chihuahua with one black eye and one blue eye barking at us and staring at us. There was this dog, who was nervous and when I walked by he started barking and barking and barking at us and I jumped! The cheapest dog was $35.00 but I forgot his name.
We also went to the dollar tree and Amber and I picked out green shirts just the same and when we got back to her house her mom got some markers out of her garage and gave them to us and some sheets to put inside the shirts so the marker would not go through. We wrote "BFF's!" and a heart and two flowers and on the back we put "my best friend!" and six arrows pointing and her arrows were pointing in the other direction. We also got some silly putty. We went to the library and got some movies and played on the computer. Here I am looming: |
